As I was watching and listening to this poem I thought about how, when in nature we adjust our wardrobe to protect us from the elements. I thought about how I often do that in life. I adjust my appearance, actions to protect me from my environment. Adjusting to my surroundings to avoid being laughed at, judged, different or discounted complicates my life and uses a lot of time and energy being someone I am not. When alllowing the world to see me from the inside, from the heart, I am spending that energy simplifying my journey by removing the clutter of expectations. Self love and acceptance clear the path to experiencing the joy and peace life has to offer. Thank you Engel and Graham for sharing this poem. I wish you blessings on your journey.

Before I read this today I heard this.

If you want to see the victory you will see it when your feel the fear the discouragement, don’t surrender to it. When you have pressed and loved through it and loved through it and forgave through it. Stand up to it. God gets the victory. Go and face what you fear. You’re not worthless otherwise your enemy would not try so hard to discourage you.

Thank you Engel and Graham The poem reminds me of a scripture that I love. Jesus said “Peace I leave with you,

My peace I give you not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid “ John 14:27.

I just rest in His peace.

I would have become a Christian much sooner. I didn't know what Real Peace felt like until I found Jesus Christ! Thank you! Peace be with you!

Life requires us to be mindful, reflective and intentional,we need to take the time to figure out what we want out of life and work towards achieving it. It’s about creating a life that aligns with our values ,passions and purpose. The benefits of loving our life can lead to a sense of fulfillment, satisfaction, happiness and lead to personal growth and development. When we are proactive in creating the life we want and make up our mind ,you can change your reality in a second. Chose wisely ,you are more powerful than you think.Thank you Engle and Graham for this poem much blessings to both of you.

Engle, your poem was just what I needed to hear, it reaffirmed a decision I made this past weekend. As I was reading and listening to you, it came to me that this new path is helping me grow and expand my life. God has opened this path as He has a plan for me....it isn't quite clear to me yet, but I have faith that it will be revealed down the road.

Thanks for the free month of yoga..new motivation to keep moving.

Graham, thank you for having Engle as guest this week. His poem resonated with me this morning, I've been reflecting on it all morning. It has helped me feel more at ease with the decision I recently made regarding poetry writing.

Blessings to both of you inspiring people!

If I could trade in my need for approval, I could feel calm, content, not afraid to share my thoughts and feelings of love, kindness, hope. I would like to respond to others with the thought that they have good intentions but that is not always true. I feel such hurt by their judgement and their need to gossip and spread untruths about me. Is God try to help me learn I cannot trust others sometimes or just not buy into the gossip?

It has taken me some time to get my thoughts together regarding your poem and message, which I love. Thank you, Engel and Graham for sharing with others.

Now that I am in the “winter” of my life, I don’t always know what my role is. My husband is gone and my children are all grown up with families of their own. My job now, I guess,is to pray for others.

But to answer your question, if I were to strip myself as suggested I would probably still be me-but more like an angel floating on air closer to heaven. One of my daily commitments, or prayers, is total surrender and trust in Our Lord. This gives me confidence and freedom to know that whatever happens that day whether pleasurable or painful, is in accordance with His Will. At one time I thought this might be a cop out, but as I have aged I realize it is not.

Surrender and trust are the keys to peace.
