Hello my friends and welcome to Tuesday Reflections.
This week I am honoured to present a new poem, “Life Knows” from my friend Engel Pherecydes.
In case you are new here, Engel shared a poem last year entitled, "Endless Sip" and was also a guest on my podcast in episode 15.

Life terrifies us, but only because deep down we know it wants to grow us by exposing us.
At first thought, it appears Life wants to expose our insecurities, our secrets, our past, our dealings, our worries, our fears and our concerns. It’s as if Life wants to expose us for not being who you present ourselves to be.
But upon deep thinking, we’ll see Life is just trying to clean us up and polish us off. Life knows growth doesn’t arise when we hide and conceal ourselves, when we’ve got secrets, or when our behaviours, dealings and motives behind closed doors are completely opposite of how we’ve presented ourselves to be.
• Life knows that every morning we’re rejecting the day, saying “Just five more minutes.”
• Life knows we have a hard time looking in the mirror without judging some beautiful part of ourselves.
Life knows, Life see’s and Life is watching you, and the exposure is necessary in holding you accountable to your souls journey. So don’t be startled when Life calls you up. When the exposure is high. When the conflict arises. When the controversy walks in the room.
• Stay Composed
• Stay Reasonable
• Stay Understanding
• Stay Focused
• Choose good company
Remember, Life is only holding us accountable, preparing and get us comfortable with who we’re really meant to be. And if you look closely enough you’ll see ——— Life is just trying to normalize your growth.
