Echoes of safety in the past
More and more energy to maintain
The identity of yesterday bears the weight
Behind your attachment
The birth of weightlessness
Letting go of what no longer lifts
Inching forward into the fog of fear
Fidelity and trust
Fly, fly and fly again
They await your ascent
I invite you to imagine what it will feel like to meet those that await your ascent.
Music can be a powerful tool to enhance the imagination. Below is one of my favourite pieces of music from Tony Anderson. If it resonates with you then please use it for imagining your ascent.
Continued Blessings,
Graham

Graham thank you once again for giving us another great poem. When I started reading Graham’s poems I was stepping out into the unknown. I didn’t know what to expect. I wondered if I would be excepted into this awesome group which I love so much.
I have met such welcoming souls made some friends even though we have never met in person. I’m a person who hesitates and is scared to step into the unknown because of what has happened in my past. Though some of that fear is gone but still is hidden deep down. I hope one day some of us can meet to see each other’s faces to really get to know the people we interact with here in this awesome chat room of Graham’s. I do love to talk though nervous and unsure on what to say to anyone except for Hi my name is Shari LOL it’s always good to start that way.
God as always steered me in directions that always help me. I’m unsure at first I always ask myself should I take this path what will I find. Well I’m glad I took this path because if I didn’t I wouldn’t of met such extraordinary people like Graham and all of you. Who do such a wonderful job excepting me and giving support to all. So thank you from the bottom of my heart. I better stop 😭before people her at work ask me why I’m 😭 Love you all.
I want to add to this, Graham be safe you’ll make over the border I now you will. Let God lead you, you have a wonderful gift he has given you. Relax at times enjoy the beauty of Utah. Something else to we want pictures LOL.
Graham you say so much in so few words! As we reflect on our youth, the years have produced many crossroads that we have had to choose which path to follow. To be safe is to be stagnant. We must face our fears and throw off the weight of that which holds us back. We must deal with challenges almost every day. How we deal with them often either defines us or prevents us from losing out on our potential. I look back to my teenage self making decisions that indeed have affected the rest of my life. I had a decision to make in 1970 when I graduated college. Do I become a golf pro or work to get into med school. That decision haunted me for one year so I took off playing the original rabbit tour and it became obvious that a career in medicine was the right choice. Sometimes we need to pause to have time to think things out before we as you put it become weightless and build up the energy to propel us forward. Often, however, these decisions affect and define the rest of your life!!! We must choose wisely, slowly until we are sure we are on the right path however, if we realize that we may not be, to garner up the strength to reverse the course or at least modify it and resist free falling back to safety.
Have a wonderful, safe trip to Utah- it is one of the most beautiful states in our country and find your weightlessness and forge friendships that will propel you toward your so very bright future!
